Customer explains late payment
Dear Sir
I am replying to your letter of … and now enclose a
cheque for £182.57 in full settlement of your invoice No
W 563 with my apologies for the late payment. This is due
to my absence front the office through illness and my
failure to leave instructions for your account to be paid.
I did not discover the oversight8 until I returned to the
office yesterday.
I mention the foregoing because I would not like you to think that failure to settle your account at the right time was in any way intentional.
